6 months initial, likely to extend. Hybrid: 1-2 days per week in West London. Up to £600 per day, outside IR35.
We’re working with an innovative technology business looking for an experienced Python Software Engineer to join the team on an initial contract.
About the role
You’ll be building low-latency, real-time systems, developing integrations with external data sources using web scraping and reverse-engineering techniques, and helping improve the reliability and observability of production systems. You’ll work closely with a highly technical team in a fast-paced environment where Python engineers take ownership from design through to production.
Key requirements
- Strong commercial Python experience
- Experience building high-performance backend systems
- Knowledge of web scraping and reverse engineering, including working around bot protection
- Familiarity with Linux, PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka or RabbitMQ
- Excellent communication skills and a pragmatic approach to software engineering
