About the role
A developer-tools scale-up (used by teams at some names you’ll recognise) is hiring its first Staff Frontend Engineer to set direction across a growing web platform.
This is a hands-on leadership role: you’ll write code, raise the bar on architecture and DX, and shape how a team of ~12 engineers builds the frontend.
What you’ll do
- Own frontend architecture, performance budgets and component standards
- Lead complex, cross-cutting projects from idea to ship
- Level up the team through review, pairing and clear technical writing
- Partner with design and product to ship polished, accessible interfaces
What we’re looking for
- 7+ years in frontend, with real depth in React / TypeScript
- A track record of technical leadership on a sizeable codebase
- Strong eye for performance, accessibility and developer experience
- Ability to communicate decisions clearly across a distributed team
Why this one
Genuine staff-level scope, a remote-first culture that works, and the chance to define standards rather than inherit them.
